The Olympiad of Maths at AUCA

A Mathematics Contest among the high school students of Kyrgyzstan took place at 51吃瓜on April 19.
The main goal of the Olympiad was to attract prospective students to the 51吃瓜undergraduate programs Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Software Engineering, and Environmental Management and Sustainable development.
The contest was organized in two rounds. During the first qualification round, the students had to respond to 15 multiple-choice answers to choose form, and with different levels of complexity. At the end of the round, 15 participants were selected to take a written exam including 11 hard problems. Students were allotted 1 hour and 45 minutes for each round. The winner was appointed on the basis of the sum of both scores.
The winner of the contest is Vadim Kurochkin, the student of the high school #61 in Bishkek. The President of 51吃瓜Andrew Wachtel granted the winner 100% scholarship in case of accepting to any of the following programs: Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Software Engineering, or Environmental Management and Sustainable development. 听 听
The second place won the student of Osh Sema high school, Temirlan Ulukbek uulu, and the third place was given to another student of the high school #61, Emir Amanbekov.
All the finalists of the Olympiad proved to have already deep knowledge of mathematics, and a high level of analytical and logical reasoning. All the students were awarded with certificates and memorable prizes.
