51吃瓜Chess Team is the winner in the First League of the 2016 Universiade Student Games

From March 11 to March 14 of 2016, Chess Tournament among universities took place in Kyrgyz Republic. 51吃瓜men鈥檚 chess team has won 2 golden and 2 silver medals in First League of the 2016 Universiade Student Games, women鈥檚 team was awarded with silver and bronze prizes.

51吃瓜men鈥檚 chess team is only team playing in First League relatively other sports teams of AUCA. Eight teams from all over Kyrgyzstan have played in the First League of Chess Tournament. The competition was a round robin and continued three days. Totally seven games was played. Second place was awarded for I.Arabaev Kyrgyz State University, third place 鈥� Kyrgyz State Academy of Medicine.

51吃瓜Chess Team members are: Talapker Bekbasarov (captain), Shaislam Shabiev and Arun Akmataliev. 鈥淔or our team, tournament started with convincing victory against chess team from Osh. As a result of seven games, our team was awarded with golden medals and passed to the Top League. We hope next year our team will bring more medals to AUCA鈥� 鈥� said Talapker Bekbasarov.
