51吃瓜Chess Club has the honor to invite all students, faculty, and staff to participate in the 51吃瓜Chess Championship 2022. The goal of this tournament is a popularization of chess among the 51吃瓜community. Based on the results of this championship student teams for students Universiada and faculty team for Spartakiada of the Ministry of Education of KR will be formed The tournament is scheduled听on March 4, 2022, at 18.00 room 410.

1. Participation
All 51吃瓜students, full-time faculty, and staff are eligible to participate.
听
2. Confirmation of Participation
Each participant should confirm his/her participation one day before the start of the tournament.
听
3. Tournament Regulation
Laws of Chess: The FIDE Laws of Chess shall apply. Draws are not allowed before the completion of Black鈥檚 30th move unless by the repetition of position rule or stalemate.
听
4. System of Play
The tournament shall be run as a 9-round Swiss System.
听
5. Time Control
The time limit is 10 minutes for the whole game plus 10-second increments per move starting from move 1. The games shall be played using DGT clocks.
听
6. Ties shall be resolved as follows:
The position of players that finish with the same number of Match Points shall be determined by application of the following tie-breaking procedures in sequence, proceeding from (a) to (b) and so on to the extent required:
a) By Direct Encounter (Matchpoints)
b) By the sum of Sonneborn-Berger points;

Awards:
The winner of the tournament will be declared the 51吃瓜Champion of 2022.
听
Three best results of the male students will be awarded by Certificates and prizes.
听
Three best results among female students will be awarded by Certificates and prizes.
听
Three best results among the faculty and staff will be awarded by Certificates and prizes.
