On November 14 and 15, 2016 the English Access Microscholarship Program held its first Alumni Reunion in Bishkek. Forty alumni from Osh, Naryn, Talas, Kant, Kyzyl-Kiya, Isfana, Bazar-Korgon, Leilek, Karakol and Dzhalal-Abad attended the meeting. The aim of the Alumni Reunion was to bring together Access alumni and create a sustainable platform for further communication.

On November 3, 2016 Laurier Fourniau, a young French director, screened his first feature Low Notes at AUCA.

Last week, Assistant Professor Rafael Dagold, Coordinator of Academic Advising听Barbara Verchot, and PR Director Dinara Orozbaeva听visited the Osh Humanities Pedagogical Institute听(OGPI) to hold a pedagogy workshop with OGPI teachers and a creative writing workshop with听OGPI students.

We are happy to announce that the 2023 51吃瓜 was given the unique privilege of being the听first university in Central Asia to be an Associate Member of the SAP University Alliance.

The 51吃瓜School of Economics & Business Administration (SEBA) changed its name to reflect its autonomy and to strengthen branding.

On November 16, 2016, President Wachtel met with Hap Tivey, a sculptor and writer, and Chiori Miyagawa, a playwright, to talk about education, culture, and AUCA.

On October 28th, 2016, 51吃瓜held an award ceremony for winners of the 鈥淪ocial Entrepreneurship. Cultivating Positive Change in Kyrgyzstan鈥� essay competition.
