January 27, 2016 the Deputy Chief of Mission in the U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan Alan Meltzer visited 51吃瓜and talked to students about the U.S. presidential election process.

On February 16, 2016, from 1 to 3 pm, the Red Crescent of Kyrgyzstan will hold "Earthquake preparedness" training at AUCA. The training will cover how one should behave in the event of an earthquake and how to protect oneself and one鈥檚 family in the best way possible.

G枚rkem Atsungur has been an assistant professor in the European Studies Department since 2012. Atsungur shares with us his journey to 51吃瓜and some of the work he has done since.

Ecological Leadership Program (ELP) project participants held a meeting with Patrick Barrow. Barrow is expected to be an assistant instructor for the ELP project this summer.听Patrick handed out the project information packet to all the participants and answered any questions that they had.

Medet Tiulegenov is an assistant professor of International and Comparative Politics (ICP), as well as serving as the chair of ICP and, as of recently, the Division head of the Politics and International/Area Studies Division. In the end of last year, the editorial board of the international psychological electronic journal 鈥淢edicopsychology in Russia鈥� was awarded the 鈥淕olden Psyche鈥� Prize for outstanding achievements in psychology.听AUCA鈥檚 own faculty member Elena Molchanova is a member of the winning editorial board.
