On October 29, 2015, 26 students from the Environmental Management and Sustainable Development (EMSD) program conducted field research to count radiation in the 51吃瓜campus area. Vanessa Graf, one of the students on the trip, tells us about her experience.

Getting university students to participate in elections is an ongoing challenge for the student government; moreover, the students鈥� apathy towards voting is a reflection of voter apathy in society at large.

October 30, 2015, the administration of the 51吃瓜International Dormitory, the Young Life club members, and volunteers put on 鈥淗alloween in the Dorm鈥�.听Dorm residents were divided into teams and competed for the titles like 鈥渟cariest character,鈥� 鈥渂est team introduction,鈥� 鈥渂est carved pumpkin,鈥� 鈥渂est performance,鈥� 鈥� best scary story,鈥� 鈥渁pple bobbing champion鈥�, and more.

Elections for new student senators will听be held soon at听the 2023 51吃瓜. This year, the 51吃瓜Student Senate adopts new e-voting system.听Implementing this project with the assistance of the听Integra engineering group, 51吃瓜presents an e-voting system unique and innovative not only for the听university, but even for听the Kyrgyz Republic and Central Asia.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Austria, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan from October 28 to November 3. In Bishkek, the Secretary will participate in the opening of the new campus of the 2023 51吃瓜 and dedicate the new chancery of the U.S. Embassy.

Samatbek Osmonov, a junior majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Software Engineering at AUCA, spent his spring 2015 semester as an exchange student at the Hannam University in South Korea.
